Discard Your Second Best Hobby

Focus on the number one thing that you want to do.

Put to the side the second and third best pursuits. They distract you from what matters the most. Either it matters or it doesn't.

Leave those alternatives to the realm of hobbies and leisure. At least for now. Since you should be focusing on developing the most important thing first. You can always come back and develop these other skills later.

Otherwise you risk being eternally distracted. Eternally doing shallow work. When the real work demands deep focus and time.
